Two models of “Die-sinker EDM” have been registered as “Future Technology Heritage” by the “National Museum of Nature and Science” September 3, 2024
In 1954, Japan Electrical Discharge Machining Laboratory (now Sodick Co., Ltd.) developed Japan’s first practical die-sinker EDM, the “Japaxtron D3.” Additionally, the oldest existing NC die-sinker EDM with a microcomputer, the “22-NC 8000,” developed by our company in 1980, has been registered as an Important Historical Material for Science and Technology (nicknamed Future Technology Heritage) by the Independent Administrative Institution National Museum of Nature and Science.
The Future Technology Heritage is a designation by the Independent Administrative Institution National Museum of Nature and Science, which selects materials that have made significant achievements in the history of Japanese science and technology or have had a substantial impact on society. This designation aims to pass on the experiences of pioneers who have supported science and technology to future generations.
Our company is committed to creating machines that our customers are delighted to use. By consistently practicing our company motto, “Create, Implement, and Overcome Difficulties,”we strive to further enhance our technology, develop new product lines, and contribute to society through manufacturing.
